Goa China Beach
is one of popular beaches in East Java. The story of the beach is always
connected to a Buddhist monk that had mediated inside the cave at the
coastline. But, when someone comes into the cave, they only can find the skulls
of the monk and Mandarin written on the cave’s roof. Nowadays, you may hear the
myth of cave as a lucky place to get fortune.
Apart from the
myth, the beach offers you natural beauty. Besides that, the beach is
well-maintained and provides you camping area. The waves of water and the whole
area of Goa China Beach are still virgin. The traveler has to through the
rocky, slippery and windy road. Besides that, you will see blue water and the
breeze. There are so many big rocks at the right side of the beach and steep
cliffs. To enter the cave, you have to climb up to the rock with a narrow
trail.
Goa China Beach
offers you beautiful panorama. The stretches of paddy field and limestone
become the main attraction when you come to the beach. Although the access is
quite challenging, but it is worth it because you will see natural scenery with
white sand. Even, from the distance, you can see small islands that will give
you amazing panorama. Thus, don’t forget to take pictures and record all of the
natural beauty in Goa China Beach.
If you want to
relax, you can just sit and enjoy the breeze and the sound of waves of water.
But, you are not allowed to swim because the waves of water are big and the
current of underwater is strong. However, you still can play water as long as
you don’t go too far from the coastline. In certain occasion, you may see many
couples take pictures for pre-wedding.
After doing all of those activities, you can rest for a while at the food
stalls. There, you can find traditional dishes and young coconut drinking. Your
vacation will be more fun if you visit Goa China Beach with your friends.
Goa China Beach
lies at Trowotratih hamlet, Sitiarjo Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan Sub-district,
Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. To reach the beach, it needs a bit effort
because the access toward the beach is around one km with rocky condition.
Thus, if the night is raining, the road will be slippery. If you start your
journey from Malang City, it needs around two hours. Firstly, you need to go to
Turen Village and Sumbermanjing Wetan Village.
Along the
street, you will be accompanied by limestones. As you arrive at Sitiarjo hamlet,
you can take the road via Bajul Mati Village which is narrow and winding.
Secondly, you can go through Sendang Biru Village as main road which is more
comfortable because the access is quite smooth. As you arrive at the Goa China
Beach, you need to pay for about IDR4,000 or US$0.4.
